GoFish for Mac OS X (10.1 or newer)

GoFish is written in Java, and can be operated either as a free-standing application, or as an applet within a Java-enabled web browser. (Version 10.1 or newer of Mac OS X ships with the Java Runtime Environment, which greatly simplifies the running of Java applications and applets.)

Each mode has its advantages. Free-standing mode is less dependent on the vagaries of the different browsers, and is therefore more robust overall. Applet mode, on the other hand, ensures you'll be running the latest versions of software and data every time you run GoFish.
